My first birthday
It all started when I woke up. Mummy and Daddy came into my room once I had summoned them, and they started singing to me! Mummy was waving a camera in my face. The singing wasn't in tune, but it doesn't matter. They kept me amused.
We then went downstairs as normal, went into the lounge, and there was a BIG PINK HOUSE. I sort of recognised it from the weekend before, when I was dragged around a shop called Toys R Us. I remember liking it then, but now it was even more fun because I could put all of my own toys in there, and throw them back out again.
There was also a yellow slide in the lounge. This was great fun trying to climb up it. Even more fun when Mummy or Daddy picked me up and put me at the top of it. They have to hold my hands when I slide down, but I don't mind.
The next few hours were pretty average to be honest, but then I had loads of visitors, and the cards and presents kept on coming. It was fantastic. My Grandma and Grampy came, and Auntie Row and Cousin Han, and Pop, and Mamgu and Tadgu, and Uncle Rhys, and GG and Bruce. Ooooh, I had soooooo much fun.
The singing continued a bit later. I was sat in my high chair which I wasn't sure about at first. And then a cake and a candle was put in front of me. Everyone then sang the same song as Mummy and Daddy sang in the morning. "Happy birthday to you" I think it was called.
I didn't go to bed until 9 o'clock, but I don't think I will be allowed to stay up late tomorrow night. I wonder when my next birthday will be. I can't wait.
